Configuring Two-Step Authentication
Set up 2-step verification via text message
- Select [Edit] for the security settings from the "Account settings" screen.
- Select [Edit] next to the 2-step Verification.
- Select [Text Message].
- If you have not yet configured a mobile phone number, enter it and select [Continue].
If you have already configured a cell phone number, select [ > ] to the right of the cell phone number you will use for two-step authentication.
A text message will be sent to your mobile phone. Enter the verification code and select [Verify].
We recommend making a note of the backup code. Take a screenshot, for example.
If you can't receive a verification code via text message or authenticator app, you can sign in by entering a backup code instead of a verification code.

- Select [Edit] next to the 2-step Verification.
- Select [Authenticator App].
- Use an authenticator app on your mobile device, and either scan the QR code or copy and paste the alphanumeric characters into the app.
When authenticator app setup is finished, select [Continue].
- Enter the verification code you received from the authenticator app on your mobile device, and then select [Verify].

Disable 2-step verification
- Select [Edit] for the security settings from the "Account settings" screen.
- Select [Edit] next to the 2-step Verification.
- Select [Deactivate].
Select [Yes].

If you enable 2-step verification, you will need a verification code when you sign in.
If you can't receive a verification code via text message or authenticator app, you can sign in by entering a backup code instead of a verification code.
